Parent-Teacher-Congregation Organization |
Get In Touch |
Who is part of the PTCO? The Augsburg Academy's parents' association, known here as the PTCO, is open to all parents, teachers, and congregation members. Parents and teachers are automatically members of the PTCO, and congregation members may have voting membership for an annual dues of $25.00 What does the PTCO do? A lot of things! They meet monthly, as you would expect, but their main tasks are to lead the fundraising programs (crab feasts, basket bingos, wreath/greenery sale, uniform exchange, and much more) and organize a weekly hot lunch for the students. The limit of what the PTCO can do is whatever the organization can think of to do for the good of Augsburg. Am I required to be a part of the PTCO? Each family signs a statement of understanding that highlights all the responsibilities of being a part of the Augsburg family. Regular attendance at PTCO meetings and functions is one of the requirements for being a part of Augsburg Academy. Parental involvment is important to us. Who is in charge? The parents! Officers are elected from the PTCO members. Starting 2009-2010, only parents can serve as officers of the PTCO. |
