Augsburg Academy is a Christian Day School in the Evangelical/Lutheran tradition. Founded in 2005, Augsburg Academy is actually part of a tradition that dates back to the 16th Century and the Reformation era. As a part of the "evangelische" (Evangelical) tradition of Father Martin Luther. Planned, consistent growth Augsburg Academy opened with a single kindergarten class with four enthusiastic students.Today, the academy offers instruction to students from age four through Grade 9, and in August 2010 will open admissions to students in Grade 10. Excellence in Education - Learning for Life A parochial school education prepares students for a life in the world. Students receive the best possible instruction from highly-qualified teachers supported by a staff which puts the students' success first. Augsburg students are held to a high standard and encouraged as they attain it. As a part of The Gardens Ice House complex, students have a wide variety of ice and non-ice sports and activities which are part of their physical education and athletic programs, because sound bodies are key to sound minds. Memberships. Augsburg Academy is a member in good standing with the Evangelical Lutheran Educational Association. It is also listed as a church-exempt school with the Maryland State Department of Education. |
